Svii Prostir
Svii Prostir is a community-led organization in Vinnytsia, Ukraine, founded by mothers who came together to create a space their children needed.
Today, Svii Prostir runs day support for children with disabilities and support for their families, while building toward a sustainable, long term space for adults with disabilities.

In 2025, led by Yuliia Diakun,
twelve mothers came together to build services their children needed
“When our child’s main educational program at a private center ended in March 2025, I couldn’t find a single place in Vinnytsia where I could bring my child and leave him there. We ended up staying at home: my child was left without opportunities for communication and socialization, while I was at risk of losing my job.
All I wanted was something simple — for my son to have a place where he would be accepted for who he is, where he could communicate with peers and adults in a safe environment, and where he would have an opportunity to socialize. And, in turn, I would have time to work and take care of my responsibilities.”

"Коли у березні 2025 року у нас завершилось основне навчання у приватному центрі, я не знайшла жодного місця у Вінниці, куди б я змогла привести свою дитину і залишити. Ми сіли вдома: дитина без спілкування та соціалізації. А я під загрозою втратити роботу.
Та я хотіла простого - щоб мій син мав місце, де його приймають таким, який він є, щоб він мав змогу спілкуватись з однолітками і дорослими у безпечному просторі, щоб мав можливість соціалізуватись. А я, натомість, мала час працювати і вирішувати свої справи."
